This is a commonly held belief by so many of our clients, and often, they use this as a reason to put off bringing in operations experts into their businesses.

✶There can be a vulnerability when opening up the inner workings of your business to someone else, even though you know that they are here to help you.

How I built a business that can generate revenue without me ⤵︎

✶ I am a planner. I like to plan for EVERYTHING. Which means when I was re-evaluating how my business was structured last year, one of my biggest priorities was separating it from me and setting it up to be able to operate without me. And by operate, I of course, mean make money without descending into chaos. I have personally aimed for this duration of 3 months, which feels comfortable for me, but everyone’s number on this will be different.

✶ While I am not planning to take this amount of time away from my business, I am VERY aware that sometimes life happens and the last thing I would need (or anyone for that matter) is worrying about the business while trying to focus on my personal life.

✶ I am also conscious that I am a “worker” and find it hard to rest, which during various periods of my life has brought me to the brink of burnout (who knows, it may have been actual burnout). The older I get, the less acceptance I have for this happening, which means I need to continually reevaluate the way I work.

✶ Creating a business that can operate and scale without you is incredibly freeing and brings a peace of mind like no other. It gives you SO much more headspace, which reignites the passion you have for your busness and is where some real magic can happen.
