Is the sheer volume of things that need doing in your business getting in the way of reaching its full potential?

There is no way around it, building your own business is hard work! The further along the line you get, the more tasks that need to be done, the more skills that need to be developed and that admin pile always has a habit of continually growing.
Then one day you realise that all the time you are spending on the little (but essential) things are stopping you from executing your strategy and scaling your business.
This is when it is time to call in some help! But where do you start? How do you find the right person that you trust to deliver work on something that you have built from the ground up? And what do you delegate?
Enter an Online Business Manager; I help entrepreneurs, freelancers and small business owners manage, organise & streamline the backend of their businesses so they can focus on executing the higher-level strategy required to scale successfully and sustainably.

From Corporate…
After graduating with a 2:1 BA in International Business Administration, I spent my career working in retail logistics and supply chain, a fast-paced industry that demands effective and streamlined processes in order to protect margins and keep customers happy. Leveraging data, metrics and KPIs to increase revenue was just as critical for success as having watertight processes though and I still have a borderline obsession with a good operational dashboard!
I led teams of people in both warehouse and corporate environments and in my final role before leaving the industry, was responsible for the management and operation of the entire fresh produce supply chain for one of the UK’s largest supermarkets.
Through the leadership of my team, I was accountable for the commercial and performance management of third-party service providers to deliver key KPIs, as well as working cross-functionally with senior stakeholders to influence buying strategies and depot operations in order to deliver an improvement in cost and/or availability through various supply chain projects. In addition, my HR experience led to me being responsible for the design and implementation of the recruitment and training strategy for the entire logistics division.

….To Creative
Unlike many who transition from corporate life to entrepreneurship, I didn’t do it because I didn’t like it or found it unfulfilling, quite the opposite in fact; I loved it! However, what we want out of life changes and the pace, crazy hours and constant travel that kept me motivated and engaged for so long began to no longer do so. I decided that it was time for a new challenge and so retired from corporate life in favour of a more flexible approach to work.
To be honest, when I quit, I had absolutely no idea what I was going to do next, so I took the opportunity to focus on developing a more creative and online-based skillset to complement my existing commercial, operational and strategic acumen. I spent a year “in training” building and developing my own travel website and e-commerce platform, alongside working as a Virtual Assistant for other online creatives, before I finally worked out how to combine my skills to create my dream job as an Online Business Manager.
My clients value my services not only because building my own businesses means I actually got to put into practice all the online skills I learnt; from SEO, to tech, passive income generation and marketing (Pinterest is forever my favourite though!), but also because I have the corporate leadership experience to leverage that skillset to help businesses grow.

How Does Virtual Support Help Me?
Hiring virtual support is a great starting point when the workload becomes too much. Hiring an employee will (at least initially) add more work to your plate, is a big responsibility and an ongoing, long term commitment that is difficult to get full cost transparency on.
I am a contractor, so you pay me only for the work I actually do, which increases your business efficiency while allowing you to fully understand the cost upfront. You pay me only the fixed-rate we agree and I take care of everything else; tax, pension contributions, sick and holiday pay, insurance and overhead costs.
In addition, it gives you an additional level of flexibility, you can work with me on a short or long term basis from anything upwards of 10 hours per month and you have the option to change this as you see fit.
It’s likely that you’re here because your business is well on its way down the path of success; let’s take it to the next level together!
